I got this kit as a Unity noob and quickly got discouraged due to what I thought was a lack of documentation for setting it up (like I said, noob).
I went back today to play around with it and was simply AMAZED at how perfect it is for what it does. I had a new characted hooked in within 5 minutes and understood everything the simple scripts were doing (and they are simple, yet powerfull scripts) 2D 2.5D Platformer.
I highly recommend this kit now for both building upon and also to learn (because it is so well done).
Tip: If you are trying to attach your own legacy animated character to the 2D 2.5D Platformer Player parent and keep getting animation errors after setting your 7 animations needed for this kit up you will need to edit the animation script and change the names there to match yours “Walk”. “Intoslide”, “onWall”, etc. Maybe the creator will add public varibles in a future update to make this easier 2D 2.5D Platformer.
